Carolyn Baylor

Carolyn Baylor is an associate professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington, where she is also currently vice-chair for academic programs and codirector of the PhD program in rehabilitation science. She holds an adjunct associate professor role in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington. Her research program includes qualitative and quantitative work related to communicative participation and treatment outcomes for adults with acquired communication disorders. She focuses on participation-related outcomes measurement and participation-based intervention, primarily for adults with motor speech and voice disorders. A related area of interest is improving healthcare access for adults with communication disorders.
